Since November, 2018 The Distance Learning Centre and the University of Ruse have participated in the project entitled Modernization of Higher Education in Central Asia through New Technologies (HiEdTec), whose main aim is the digitization of higher education in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
